The following goals are the culmination of the past 6-months of planning, as I am now nearing the end of my final year at Monash University:
- Graduate from Monash University with a Bachelor of Arts (Behavioural Studies/Sociology) Degree by June 2010.
- In 2010, begin an internship/volunteer position, or more desirably a paid-working position in perhaps one of the following organisations:

OR work through various community level organisations.
- Once I obtain one year's work experience, by the beginning of 2011 (February), begin my Masters in Social Work (MSW) degree in the United States. Graduate Schools of interest:
Reflection: These goals are my short-term, shifting into long-term goals, for the next 3 years of my life. It is a requirement for Masters programs in the United States to have at least one years work experience, whether it be a paid/non-paid internship or volunteer work, and it must be in the field of study. I am hoping that by working with the above organisations (AASW, the Brotherhood, Salvos) I will be able to gain as much hands on experience as possible, and learn the 'tricks-of-the-trade'. Thus enabling me to gain entry into a good graduate program. In turn, I hope that once my Masters degree has been completed, it will give me advantage in achieving the desired working position that I wish for in the field of social work--in particular in the work with youth.
